Todays post is a blog in pictures taken from my Festival Fever board on Pinterest and inspiration for Glasto if you’re heading there this weekend.
If you’re not one for getting out a needle and thread or you don’t feel there’s time before the weekend then check out Etsy or Folksy (the UK version) for loads of beautiful headdresses that will ensure you stand out from the crowd.
This one would be quite simple to make; use a skinny headband you already have and wrap/plait some twine or embroidery floss around it then at the back tie on varying lengths, these will be the bits that dangle down your hair and where you’ll attached the feathers. Thread on some small beads, glue the feathers to the ends of the twine/embroidery floss, once dried pull one or two beads over the glue join to hide. Secure the rest of the beads at varied places on the twine/embroidery floss by making small knots to act as ‘bead stoppers’.
I love that it looks like she has beads in her hair but I think they are probably just attached to the headband.
Probably my most favourite headdresses ever! Love the midsummer nights dream look these girls have got going on. More beautiful photos from the Wilderness Festival here.
Pompom headdress! Who knew!
